Antares Buddha Centre, Chinatown, Singapore.
Even
though Singapore is predominantly Chinese, they have their own
Chinatown which dates to the mid-1800s when the first seamen arrived
from Fujian. Chinatown is a dazzling mix of modern department stores,
traditional medical halls, and old shophouses occupied by restaurants,
antiques, herbal medicines, and tacky souvenirs. The Antares
Buddha Centre is in the quirky Peoples Park Centre, a large 5-story
mall on Eu Tong Sen Street, near the Chinatown MRT station.
